TRI-QUEST GROUP was originally created as a multi-trade division to support Pine-Quest Construction. As a full-service general contractor, Pine-Quest Construction has over 30 years’ experience managing construction projects – building stunning new homes and cottages in Nova Scotia. Every one of those projects requires multi-trades, so it just made sense to expand our group to include plumbing, electrical and HVAC technicians.
TRI-QUEST GROUP will continue the tradition of building relationships with our customers, taking the time to fully understand the needs and wants of residential and commercial clients alike. We return your call and show up when we say we will. We start the job on time and stay until it's finished to your specifications.
We’ll also keep the communication open – touching base with you often to ensure we’re meeting your expectations and you’re not left guessing.
TRI-QUEST GROUP has grown into a company of its own, providing plumbing, electrical and HVAC expertise to residential and commercial customers in the Pictou County area.
MEET THE TEAM
Ben De Shiffert
Owner | Master Electrician
Ben has achieved his Electrical Red Seal Certification, Masters Electrical Engineering Certification and Business Finance Management. He has invested 35 years in construction and development and has no plans of slowing down.
Family life is very important to Ben and he enjoys time with his wife Kelly, three hyper kids and six grandchildren. He also finds time for golf, hockey, investing and getting involved with the community.
His primary goal is to create sustainable and affordable housing projects.
Mike Chapman
Operations Manager | Red Seal Plumber
Mike received his Red Seal Certification in 2002 and has over 25 years of experience in the trade. He lives in Pictou with his fiancé, two boys ages 16 and 19 and Lambeau, his German Shepherd.
Mike enjoys hockey, football and baseball and coaches his younger son's U18 hockey team.
Mike McCarthy
Electrical Foreman | Red Seal Journeyman Electrician
A graduate from NSCC, Michael McCarthy has more than 20 years residential, commercial, and industrial electrical experience across Canada. He takes pride in maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.
Leading the Tri-Quest electrical team as Electrical Foreman, Michael is dedicated to his work by day and in his free time enjoys quadding, fishing, biking, golf, and cheering on the Montreal Canadiens with his wife and son.
Brad De Schiffert
Brad started as an Electrical Apprentice right after high school and worked in construction for five years.
He then moved into golf course operations, and worked at several golf clubs and resorts across Canada and the Caribbean. Brad went on to start an indoor golf facility and was teaching 100+ kids every week.
Brad recently returned home to join the team at Tri-Quest Group for his next adventure.
Kellen Malcolm
Red Seal Plumber
Kellen has worked in the plumbing industry for 4+ years after graduating from NSCC in 2018. Previously, he worked as a steamfitter for 6+ years after graduating from NAIT (Edmonton, AB) in 2012.
Kellen also studied music production and sound engineering while in Alberta as well. He has a busy life with two young boys, a dog and two cats, but still finds time to watch his favourite teams play – the Montreal Canadians and the Chicago Bears.
Luc Corbin
Plumbing Apprentice
Luc is a new graduate from NSCC in plumbing. We're happy to have him onboard as a first year apprentice where he will learn from the best on the job.
Luc lives in Lyons Brook and is a Montreal Canadians fan.
